Blog 7: Through the Protagonist’s Soreness

The reasons behind the protagonist’s pain (Fil’s pain) that gave him various effects were he was not able to give the dancers a tour at Chicago and a meal at his house, and he accidentally erased his only remembrance. First, all his preparations and hard works had come to nothing. His plans on how he would introduce his self and how he would invite the dancers were doomed. Then, he had low self-esteem. He felt that the dancers did not want to talk to him because of his looks, as what he termed as garbage. Another, even though how hard he tried to catch the attention of the dancers by saying in dialect his invitation, but instead of accepting his request, the dancers refuse and worst, the dancers ignored him as if he did not exist. Lastly, he was depressed. It was not only because of the refusal of his request, but also he fortuitously obliterated the only memory of the dancers he got in his sound mirror. The memory included the recording of the songs and dances of the dancers, which he got from the theater. Aside from those from the dancers, the different sounds that he recorded that were precious to him were also removed such as the conversations he had and the sound of various things.
